PRIVACY
the short, honest version
Bert Studio doesn’t want your data. Here’s exactly what it keeps, and why — in plain English, no legalese.
The one cookie
When you generate a Bert, we set one cookie — bs_id — a random ID with no personal information in it. It’s strictly necessary: it’s how we count your 3 free generations a day. There’s no consent banner because there’s nothing beyond that to consent to — no ad or analytics cookies exist here.
Your IP address
We hash your IP address (one-way — it can’t be reversed back to your IP) and check it alongside the cookie to enforce the same daily limit, so clearing cookies doesn’t quietly reset your quota. We never store your raw IP address.
How long we keep it
Rate-limit records (the hashed IP, the cookie ID, and a timestamp) are only ever checked against a rolling ~24-hour window. Records outside that window simply age out and aren’t used for anything.
Your prompt & your image
Your prompt is sent to our image-generation provider to paint the picture, and is briefly checked for safety before that happens — it isn’t stored beyond generating your image, and we don’t publish it. Every image you generate is yours: download it, post it, share it, whatever you like. Generated images live on the server for a short while (about a day) so you can fetch them — we don’t build a public gallery or a profile of what you’ve made.
What we don’t do
No tracking. No ads. No third-party analytics. No fonts or scripts loaded from anyone else’s servers. Nothing here is sold, shared, or used for anything beyond running this free tool.
